Treatments take 40 minutes and cost $95.00. ACC co-payments are $45.00. If you have an ACC claim, please bring in details of your claim number and date of injury. In your first session with me, we will take the time to discuss your health concerns, prioritise them, and for me to take a history of your symptoms along with relevant medical history and familial tendencies. Then you will receive an acupuncture treatment.
Please inform me if there is any possibility that you are pregnant, have a history of epilepsy, seizures, hepatitis, HIV, diabetes, heart disease, hemophilia, or other medical conditions so that I may take that into account. I understand that many of you may not be sure if acupuncture is right for you so please email me if you would like more information.
I only use sterilised, for single use only, individually wrapped, medical-grade stainless steel needles, single-use only needles.
Needles are gently placed at carefully selected acupuncture points and then left in place for an average of 30 minutes. Don’t be afraid of acupuncture needles as they can’t be compared to any type of needle you’ve seen before. They are not hollow like those used to inject a substance into your body or to take blood samples. They are much, much finer. I will explain to you what I would like to do, but you are the boss and can say that’s enough needles, or I’ve changed my mind at any stage of treatment. You can choose whether to have classic acupuncture or electric acupuncture.
My room is nice & spacious and is located within ‘City Osteopaths’ – a busy, friendly, customer-focused practice. Acupuncturists often chose to work alongside Osteopaths as we complement each other’s work so well. There is also a therapeutic massage therapist and a psychotherapist within the practice. Together we make a dynamic team that will do our absolute best to return you to health.
